San Giuseppe al Trionfale, Minor basilica in Trionfale district, Rome, Italy
San Giuseppe al Trionfale is a Renaissance Revival church located in Rome's Trionfale district. Its interior features a central nave with side aisles divided into nine bays, supported by grey Corinthian columns made of Baveno granite.
The church was built between 1909 and 1912 under architect Aristide Leonori's direction. It received its minor basilica status in March 1970, marking its recognition as an important religious monument.
The interior displays stained glass windows showing Popes Pius IX, Pius X, and Benedict XV, along with mosaics that tell stories from Saint Joseph's life. These religious artworks invite visitors to walk through and observe their details.
The church is located at Via Bernardino Telesio in the Trionfale district and welcomes visitors throughout the week. Plan your visit outside of mass times if you want to explore the interior at a relaxed pace.
The church preserves religious objects believed by the faithful to have belonged to Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary. These sacred reliquaries attract pilgrims who come to venerate them.
