Mausoleo di Francesco Cilea

The Mausoleo di Francesco Cilea is a marble structure in Palmi's historic center featuring decorative reliefs and a bronze figure of the muse Erato. The building displays mythological scenes and houses an underground chamber with mosaics where the composer's remains and those of his wife are kept.

The memorial was inaugurated in 1962, replacing an early 20th-century clock tower that stood on this central square. The composer's remains were subsequently transferred to this location from elsewhere.
