Santa Maria Nuova, Gothic church in Perugia, Italy.

Santa Maria Nuova contains three naves, a polygonal apse, and distinctive red and white marble portal along Via del Roscetto.

The original church, documented in 1285 as Santa Maria di Porta Sole, burned in 1376 during riots and was rebuilt in 1406.

The church houses carved choir stalls from 1456 by Paolino da Ascoli and Giovanni da Montelparo, transferred from Santa Maria dei Servi.

The building underwent three major restorations in 1895, 1913-1916, and 1961, when workers reopened the apsidal chapels.

The funerary monument of Braccio I Baglioni from 1479 stands in the chapel at the head of the right aisle.
