Bolago, Libano e Barp, Settlement triad in Sedico, Italy.

Bolago, Libano and Barp are three frazioni of Sedico in the province of Belluno, together about 850 inhabitants. They lie on the first slopes of the Pala Alta ridge, part of the Schiara group, and face south over the Valbelluna. The Gresal torrent borders them to the east, and the Salega stream flows nearby. Urbanisation has made the boundary between Bolago and Libano hard to see.

The settlements developed in early times as small farming communities in this mountain region. During World War II they experienced harsh occupation, while resistance fighters found refuge in the surrounding mountains.

The parish church of Saints Faustino and Giovita in Bolago replaced the old church at Valdenere, which served as parish seat from 1784 until 1901. The abandoned church keeps a bell tower still used for services and the clock, visible from the valley floor. Inside are remains of frescoes attributed to Marco da Mel, dated 1524.

The three hamlets are linked by a municipal road that branches off where the SR 203 Agordina meets the SR 204. Bolago and Libàno sit about 8 km from both Sedico and Belluno, with the Gresal stream marking the eastern edge toward Giazzoi. The old church of Libàno, at Valdenere, keeps its bell tower working for services and the clock, visible from the valley floor.

The region was once known for producing millstones between Libano and Tisoi that were sold across Europe. This stone industry shaped the economic life of the communities and left traces still visible today.
