PalaMalè, impianto sportivo multifunzione a Viterbo
PalaMalè is a multi-purpose sports venue in Viterbo that accommodates roughly 1500 spectators and features a wooden floor with blue plastic seating on all sides. The building has high ceilings, a straightforward functional design, and an adjacent swimming pool facility nearby.
The hall opened in 1983 in response to growing demand for sports facilities, especially driven by the success of the local women's basketball team. It has served as a key venue for basketball matches, volleyball competitions, and other events since its completion.
The hall is easily accessible by car or public transit in the Murialdo neighborhood and features an internal parking lot plus additional visitor spaces. When entering, you will notice the large balcony running along one side that provides a good view of the playing area.
The building hosted the final of the European women's basketball cup in 1985 between teams from Riga and Vicenza, marking a milestone in the city's sports history. Occasionally concerts with well-known artists and bands are held here, showing the space serves purposes beyond sports.
