鶴嶺八幡宮, Shinto shrine in Japan
Tsurume Hachimangu is a Shinto shrine in Chigasaki with nagare-zukuri architecture, a style characterized by a sloped roof resembling flowing water. The buildings and surrounding compound display the traditional elements typical of this Japanese architectural approach.
The shrine is a one-minute walk from the Tsurumine Elementary School bus stop, reached by bus from the north exit of Chigasaki Station on the JR Tokaido Line. The approach from the large torii to the hall is called the Hatcho Sando, and the pine-lined road along Route 1 is the Hatcho Matsunamiki, planted in 1649 after the shogunate granted the shrine seven koku of land.
