Sanda, City in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Sanda extends across 210 square kilometers of land between Kobe and Osaka, with Mount Mine reaching an elevation of 697 meters.

The city originated from ancient Settsu Province, deriving its name from three rice fields, and gained official city status on July 1, 1958.

The Sanda Matsuri features large fireworks displays, while the Hyakkoku Odori dance festival preserves traditional performing arts throughout the year.

Twenty public elementary schools, nine junior high schools, and four high schools serve the population of 108,452 residents across 47,018 households.

The region produces premium Sanda beef and Mōshi tea, which farmers cultivate specifically during May and June each year.
