Moonsault Scramble was a steel roller coaster at Fuji-Q Highland featuring a 70-meter vertical lift hill that launched riders into rapid descents and twisting turns. The ride held 28 passengers across seven cars and completed its entire course in under a minute.
The coaster opened in 1983 as one of the world's tallest rides, built by Sanoyas Hishino Meisho. This record stood until 1996 when another coaster surpassed its height.
The roller coaster made an appearance in the 1985 movie My Lucky Stars, establishing its presence in Japanese entertainment media.
The ride lasted about a minute and provided intense sensations with strong physical forces. Visitors should be aware that this type of coaster delivered a forceful experience.
The ride generated extreme forces of 6.5 G and ranked among very few coasters outside the United States with such intense physical effects. This made it one of the most forceful rides anywhere.
