Tenryū-ku

Tenryū Ward is an administrative division of Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture, spanning a large area covered by forests, valleys, and residential communities. The ward includes several towns and villages that are connected by rail networks serving the region.

The ward was established in 2007 through the merger of five separate municipalities into a single administrative unit. This consolidation marked a major step in reorganizing the municipal structure of Hamamatsu.

The Ward Office at Futamata-cho handles administrative services for residents on weekdays. Train stations throughout the area make it practical to reach different parts of the ward.
