Old Park, Urban park in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
Old Park extends across 27 acres of land with walking paths, large trees, and recreational areas for community gatherings and activities.
The park originated in the 19th century as the gardens of British Government Agent Percival Ackland Dyke, who served the Northern Province for 32 years.
The park features numerous local tree species including mahogany, ironwood, mango, and tamarind, reflecting the natural heritage of northern Sri Lanka.
Visitors can access the park daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with entrance fees of 20 LKR for adults and 10 LKR for children.
The income generated from the mango and tamarind fruits harvested within the park contributes to its maintenance and operational costs.
