Noardeast-Fryslân is a municipality in the Dutch province of Friesland with around 50 villages and settlements spread across a large territory. The area extends from inland farmlands to the Wadden Sea coast.
The municipality was created in 2019 through a merger of three former administrative districts. This consolidation brought separate communities under one governance structure.
The region keeps West Frisian language and traditions alive in everyday community life. You'll notice the local dialect spoken alongside Dutch by many residents here.
