Pancha Kashmiri Takiya Masjid, Muslim mosque in Kathmandu, Nepal
The Pancha Kashmiri Takiya Masjid includes three separate complexes: a central prayer hall, an additional annexe, and a madrasah for educational purposes.
Built in the 15th century during King Pratap Malla's reign, the mosque received its current structure when King Prithvi Narayan Shah ruled Nepal.
The mosque contains the tombs of Haji Mishkin Shah and Khwaja Gyasuddin Shah, marking important figures in the local Muslim community's development.
The mosque functions both as a daily prayer location and an educational center, with regular religious services and teaching activities in the madrasah.
Kashmiri traders who helped establish this mosque served as information gatherers for King Prithvi Narayan Shah during his campaign against Malla rulers.
