Ladyfinger Peak

Ladyfinger Peak, Granite mountain summit in Gilgit District, Pakistan.

Ladyfinger Peak is a granite summit in the Batura Muztagh subrange of the Karakoram, rising as a distinctive rock tower above the surrounding terrain. Its slender, columnar shape makes it instantly recognizable from a distance.

The summit received its local name Bublimotin from a legend rooted in the Hunza Valley's storytelling traditions. This naming reflects how local communities connect significant peaks to their cultural narratives.

The peak stands as a central figure in the Hunza Valley, where local communities maintain strong connections with their mountainous environment.

The peak is best visited between May and August when weather conditions are most favorable for mountain activities. It is advisable to check local conditions and arrange visits through proper local channels in advance.

What sets this peak apart is its steep columnar structure that remains largely free from snow despite its high altitude. This bare rock spire makes it visually distinct from other summits in the surrounding range.
