Shispare

Shispare rises to an elevation of 7,611 meters in the Batura Muztagh range, featuring steep faces and a distinctive pyramid structure near the Hunza River.

The first successful ascent of Shispare occurred on July 21, 1974, when the Polish-German Academic Expedition reached the summit after a 35-day climbing effort.

The mountain stands as a testament to mountaineering achievement in the Karakoram range, drawing climbers from Poland, Germany, and Japan to attempt its challenging routes.

Climbers accessing Shispare typically establish their base camp near the Pasu Glacier, requiring extensive porter support to transport equipment through the challenging terrain.

The mountain presents an elevation difference of 5,550 meters over just 13 kilometers from nearby Karimabad, creating one of the steepest vertical rises in the region.
