Lyari Town is a densely populated district in Karachi situated near the harbor. The area features a network of streets connecting smaller and larger markets, along with residential neighborhoods of varying structure.
The district was established as an independent administrative unit in 2001 and served as a separate division for over a decade. In 2015, it was merged into the larger Karachi South District and ceased to function as a separate entity.
