Kachhi District, Administrative district in Balochistan, Pakistan
Kachhi District is an administrative district in central Balochistan with Dhadar as its capital and covers a large area. The territory is divided into several administrative subdivisions including Khattan, Balanari, Bhag, Mach, and Sani that serve different towns and villages.
The area became a separate administrative unit in 1992 after separating from Nasirabad District. This separation marked the start of independent local administration with its own governing structure.
The region is home to Baloch communities whose languages and ways of life shape daily life in the district. Visitors can see these traditions reflected in local markets, traditional dress, and how people interact in their communities.
This area is best explored by visiting the different towns and local administrative centers across the subdivisions. Travel is most comfortable outside the hottest months to make getting around the region easier.
The area is home to Mehrgarh, an archaeological site that reveals how people began settling and farming thousands of years ago. These early traces make the region significant for understanding the origins of human society in South Asia.
