Shahpur Dam

Shahpur Dam is a concrete structure that stretches 93 meters across the Nandana River at a height of 26 meters. The reservoir holds 17 million cubic meters of water and supplies irrigation to agricultural areas throughout the region.

The Small Dams Organization of Punjab commissioned this structure in 1982, and construction was completed in 1986. The project cost 36.5 million Pakistani rupees to build.

The dam sits near the Kala Chitta Range and draws people from surrounding villages who come here to spend time outdoors and connect with their neighbors. Locals use the reservoir area as a place to escape daily routines and enjoy the landscape.

The dam is located roughly 45 kilometers from Islamabad and 8 kilometers north of Fateh Jang. Plan your visit during the dry season when roads are accessible and water levels make the site easier to explore.
