Korangi District is an administrative area in Karachi divided into three main towns with numerous smaller neighborhoods. The area is densely populated and contains various types of residential settlements, from organically developed quarters to planned urban sections.
The district was originally dissolved in 2000 but was reestablished in 2011. An administrative restructuring in 2013 contributed to its current form.
