Staw Browarny

Staw Browarny is a water body in eastern Poznań covering about seven hectares with average depths around 1.2 meters and maximum depths near 1.8 meters. The shallow to moderate basin is lined with shore vegetation and sits within a green corridor that encompasses several connected lakes.

The water body was created through the construction of a dam on the Cybina River within Poznań's eastern green corridor. This engineering work transformed the river system and formed a new water storage area in the region.

This lake is part of a network of four connected water bodies that serve as a popular spot for joggers, cyclists, and walkers in the area. The surrounding green space provides room for various outdoor leisure activities that residents use regularly.

The shoreline is easily accessible and suits well for watching fish or relaxing by the water. The site is best visited in calm conditions when visibility is clear.

The water body functions as part of a biological treatment system that improves water quality before flow into nearby larger lakes. This natural filtration makes it an important part of water management in the region.
