Khabarovsk Krai

Khabarovsk Krai extends through mountainous terrain and numerous rivers, with its capital Khabarovsk situated at the confluence of Amur and Ussuri rivers.

The region became an official administrative territory on October 20, 1938, after being separated from parts of the Amur Oblast during Soviet reorganization.
