Sochi National Park

The park extends across 193,737 hectares of land from the Black Sea coast to the Greater Caucasus mountains, containing rivers, waterfalls, and dense forests.

Established in 1983 as Russia's first national park, this protected area has been instrumental in preserving the natural heritage of the Western Caucasus region.

Multiple trails throughout the park lead visitors to ancient settlements, monuments, and structures that reflect the historical presence of different civilizations in the area.

Visitors can access the park through multiple entry points near Sochi city, with dedicated parking areas and information centers providing maps and guidance.

The park houses a Persian leopard reintroduction center where, in 2013, the first cubs in 50 years were born as part of a species rehabilitation program.
