The Bolshoy Ice Dome is an indoor arena in Olympic Park designed to host ice hockey matches and other winter sports competitions. The facility has a spacious ice rink and seating areas that allow spectators to watch from multiple angles throughout the venue.

The dome opened in 2012 and served as a venue for ice hockey matches during the 2014 Winter Games two years later. The building was part of a major construction effort to prepare the city for international sports competition.

The structure incorporates design elements inspired by Russian Fabergé eggs, reflecting national artistic traditions in its contemporary architecture.

The location is easy to reach along pathways in Olympic Park and clearly marked. Visitors should bring warm clothing since the temperature inside stays cool.

The exterior facade functions as the largest display screen in Sochi, visible from 30 kilometers away, including the town of Gagra in Abkhazia.
