Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow, hotel in Moscow, Russia
Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow is a hotel on Neglinnaya Street in the city center, opened in 2000 and blending modern design with Armenian architectural elements. The building features an atrium with a wave-shaped glass roof, spacious rooms with Italian furniture and marble finishes, a glass panoramic elevator, and a lounge bar with cityscape views.
Previously, this site held a small mansion with a popular cafe called Aarat in its lower level, favored by artists during Soviet times, and a ten-room guesthouse upstairs. After these spaces closed in the early 1980s, a new hotel was constructed and opened in 2000.
The ground-floor Cafe Aarat recreates the original cafe that was beloved by Moscow's artists and intellectuals during Soviet times. The hotel's Armenian architectural style, featuring arches and stone columns, keeps this cultural connection alive for visitors today.
The hotel sits within walking distance of shopping streets, theaters, and major landmarks, making it a convenient base for exploring the city center. Inside, the lobbies and common areas remain calm and easy to navigate despite the busy surroundings outside.
Select suites beneath the glass dome, called Winter Garden Suites, feature private terraces and views of central Moscow, reminiscent of London's Kew Gardens structure. These rooms stand out for their distinctive architecture and private outdoor space overlooking the city.
