Värmland County

Värmland County is an administrative region in southwest-central Sweden that stretches across forests and lakes, with Lake Vänern forming its southern boundary and Norway marking its western edge. Värmland County was established in 1779 when authorities divided the former unified region into separate administrative territories. This division was intended to improve regional management and governance.
