Ashgabat Stadium

Ashgabat Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in Turkmenistan's capital featuring a football pitch with artificial turf and an eight-lane athletics track with tartan surface. The venue includes seventeen specialized training halls for different sports, along with two restaurants and internet cafes serving visitors and athletes.

Turkish construction firm Polimeks completed this venue in 2011 as a commemoration of Turkmenistan's two decades of independence from Soviet rule. The project marked an important infrastructure milestone for the newly independent nation.

The venue serves as a gathering place for national celebrations, particularly Independence Day events where traditional fireworks light up the sky and local performers entertain crowds. These occasions mark important moments in the city's cultural calendar.

The complex is easy to access and offers ample parking for those arriving by car. The different facilities are well signposted, making it simple to navigate around this large venue.

A hotel with 2,000 beds sits adjacent to the main grounds, offering on-site accommodation for visitors and athletes. Four additional smaller stadiums on the property create an entire sports village within walking distance.
