Manavgat Waterfall

Manavgat Waterfall is a wide cascade where the river spreads across a rocky bed near the town of Side. The water drops over a gentle slope rather than a sheer cliff, creating a foaming flow that spans a considerable width.

The waterfall was famous enough to appear on Turkish currency during the 1960s and 1970s, a recognition of its national importance. This honor reflects how the site has long been valued as a symbol of the region.
