Sazova Science Culture and Art Park, Educational urban park in Eskişehir, Turkey
Sazova Science Culture and Art Park is an educational park in Eskişehir featuring a science museum, planetarium, zoo, Japanese garden, artificial lake, and recreational facilities. The grounds also include a pirate ship, the Turkic Science History Building with miniature models, and a château with architectural elements from Istanbul.
The Metropolitan Municipality of Eskişehir inaugurated this educational and recreational facility in October 2008. The project transformed the Sazova district landscape and created a new destination for visitors from the region and beyond.
The Turkic Science History Building features miniature replicas of historical monuments including the Orkhon Inscriptions and Sultan Sencer's mausoleum at 1:25 scale. Visitors can examine these carefully crafted models to understand architectural traditions from the region.
The park is about 15 minutes by car from downtown Eskişehir and is served by regular bus connections. The science center and other facilities operate daily and offer something for different age groups to explore.
A miniature train transports visitors throughout the grounds, offering an entertaining way to see all the different areas. The Dream Château on site combines design elements from Istanbul's Galata Tower and Topkapi Palace in an unusual structure.
