Medusa Glass Art Museum

The Medusa Glass Art Museum is housed in a restored traditional building with six exhibition rooms displaying roughly 4,000 objects from different periods. The collection features ancient glassware, bronze figures, precious metalwork, and artifacts spanning multiple civilizations.

The museum opened in 2008 and houses artifacts spanning from the Early Bronze Age through the Islamic period. The collection includes ancient coins and objects that document the region's long history across multiple civilizations.

The museum keeps traditional craftsmanship alive through active workshops where skilled artisans demonstrate glassblowing, silversmithing, and textile weaving techniques. Visitors can watch these craftspeople work and understand how these skills have been passed down.

The museum is located near Gaziantep Castle and offers free entry to all visitors throughout the year. The building contains multiple exhibition halls and a working area where you can observe artisans practicing their trades.

More than two-thirds of the collection consists of glass items, including Roman perfume bottles and tear jars in various colors that reflect different techniques. These pieces reveal how ancient craftspeople mastered glassmaking across multiple regions and time periods.
