Camlidere Nature and Animal Museum

Camlidere Nature and Animal Museum is a collection of specimens and objects representing the wildlife and plants of the Çamlıdere region. The exhibits explain the different natural environments and show which creatures live in the mountainous areas around Ankara.

The museum started as a local effort to gather and save knowledge about the native animal species living in the mountainous areas near Ankara. This community initiative wanted to document the natural world of this region for future generations.

The displays show how people in this area have always lived alongside the local wildlife and plants. Through the exhibits, you can understand which species have belonged to this landscape for generations.

The museum is about 100 kilometers from downtown Ankara and is easy to reach by car. It offers adequate parking and maintains consistent opening hours to plan your visit.

The collection includes carefully prepared animal specimens representing every major species found in the Çamlıdere area. These preserved examples let visitors get a close look at creatures that would be difficult to observe in the wild.
