Xinzhuang District, Administrative district in New Taipei City, Taiwan
Xinzhuang District is an administrative division in the western part of New Taipei City, sharing borders with Wugu, Taishan, Sanchong, Banqiao, and Shulin. The area combines residential neighborhoods with commercial zones, while parks and educational institutions appear throughout.
The district was formerly known as Pulauan before developing into an urban township. In 1980 it gained city status, and in 2010 it was officially designated as a district.
The district maintains multiple temples, including the Temple to Erudition Deity and Cihyou Temple, where residents participate in traditional ceremonies throughout the year.
The area connects to central Taipei through several metro stations, including stops at Danfeng, Fu Jen University, and central Xinzhuang. Local buses run between neighborhoods, making movement within the district easier.
Fu Jen Catholic University sits centrally in the district and shapes the streetscape through its large campus. Students and faculty use the surrounding cafes and shops that cluster along the main streets.
