The National Library of Public Information is a seven-story institution with five above-ground levels and two basement areas. The institution was founded in 1923 as Taichu Prefectural Library and went through several name changes before becoming the National Library of Public Information in 2013. These transformations reflect the region's complex history and its evolving role in information services.
