Qingpu, Urban district in Taoyuan, Taiwan
Qingpu is an urban district in Taoyuan covering roughly 490 hectares, positioned between Zhongli and Dayuan districts. It functions as the central business and commercial hub of the city.
The district underwent major transformation starting in 2007 with construction of the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail station, shifting the city center away from the older Taoyuan railway station. This marked a turning point in where the city's main activities concentrated.
The district hosted the Taiwan Lantern Festival in 2016, where regional art and traditions were displayed to visitors. It serves as a venue where local creative practices and seasonal celebrations come to life.
The area is easily reached by public transit, including the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail station and Linghang metro station on the Airport line. Visitors can arrive from various directions and move around the district without difficulty.
The district is home to multiple sports venues including Rakuten Baseball Stadium and Taoyuan Sunlight Arena for various events. The Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center also stands here, offering artistic experiences within the busy center.
