Church of the Ascension

The Church of the Ascension is an Orthodox chapel set within Baikove Cemetery with traditional Byzantine architectural style. The building features a central dome and decorated interior spaces typical of Eastern Orthodox design, positioned as a focal point within the cemetery grounds.

The church was built in 1884 under Russian architect Vladimir Nikolayev's design. It was constructed during a period of significant building development in Kyiv during the 19th century.
