Dzembronski Waterfalls

Dzembronski Waterfalls feature a series of cascading drops along the Munchel Brook, with the main waterfall reaching approximately 10 meters and the combined drops totaling about 100 meters across the site. The water flows through multiple tiers carved into the rocky landscape, creating a linear sequence of falls down the mountain slope.

The site received its name from the nearby village of Dzembronya, which underwent a name change from Berestechko in 2009 following local community initiative. The area has long been shaped by the flowing waters that carved the landscape over countless years.

The waterfalls stand near locations where traditional mountain communities practiced rituals during summer solstice, including ceremonies on Vukhaty Kamin mountain.

Access to the site is via marked hiking trails that begin near Dzembronya village and are manageable for visitors with moderate fitness levels. Water flow is most impressive during spring snowmelt and after heavy rainfall, making these seasons ideal for viewing.

The waterfalls form part of the Carpathian Mountains water system, where multiple streams create a network of cascades across the protected natural landscape.
