Sievierodonetsk Raion

Sievierodonetsk Raion is an administrative district in eastern Ukraine's Luhansk Oblast. The territory includes several urban communities and smaller settlements organized around its main city as the administrative hub.

The district was established in 2020 during Ukraine's administrative reform, with Sievierodonetsk city as its administrative center. A name change occurred in 2024 as part of broader efforts to rename places with Russian origins.

The district contains multiple urban settlements including Bilohorivka, Borivske, and Komyshuvakha, each maintaining their local traditions and community structures.

The region is located in eastern Ukraine and can be reached by various means of transport managed by local authorities. Visitors will find different accommodation options and local services available throughout the area.

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, voted to modify the district's name to Siverskodonetsk Raion in September 2024 as part of the derussification process.
