Avalanche

Avalanche is a steel roller coaster at Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool featuring white track with green support columns that extend around 445 meters. The ride curves through multiple spiral sections without any inversions, providing a thrilling ride that keeps passengers upright throughout.

The coaster opened in 1988 as a creation by Mack Rides, a German manufacturer known for innovative amusement park rides. This marked an important addition to the park's collection of attractions during that period.

The ride draws inspiration from winter sports culture with decorations styled as mountain lodges and alpine landscapes. Visitors can observe these details as they travel through the course, creating a themed experience centered on snow and mountaineering.

Three trains operate the ride, with each train carrying seven cars arranged in two rows for a continuous loading system. Expect queues to be longer during peak times and weekends, so plan your visit accordingly for shorter waits.
