Camden, County seat on Delaware River in New Jersey, United States.

Located across from Philadelphia, Camden extends along the eastern bank of the Delaware River, connected by multiple bridges to Pennsylvania.

William Cooper established the first permanent European settlement at Pyne Point in 1681, laying the foundation for Camden's development as a river crossing point.

The Walt Whitman House preserves the residence where the American poet spent his final years from 1873 until 1892, maintaining original furnishings.
