Aurora is a city in Portage County, Ohio, situated between Cleveland and Akron. It spreads across residential neighborhoods with maintained green spaces.

Ebenezer Sheldon, a Revolutionary War soldier, founded the first settlement in 1799 with a cabin and his family. The town later became an important center for cheese manufacturing.
