Beaver Land Mine Ride, Steel roller coaster in Aurora, Ohio
Beaver Land Mine Ride was a steel roller coaster at Geauga Lake amusement park featuring a track layout of approximately 1,180 feet (360 meters) that created two interlocking loops. The ride offered moderate turns and drops designed to appeal to family visitors without extreme intensity.
The ride opened in 2000 under the name Road Runner Express as part of the Six Flags park. It was rebranded in 2004 after Cedar Fair took over the property and eventually closed in 2007.
The roller coaster design emphasized family entertainment values, reflecting the shifting focus of American amusement parks toward inclusive experiences for all age groups.
The coaster operated with a single train consisting of 20 cars, with each car seating two riders side by side. This setup allowed the ride to serve up to 1,250 guests per hour.
After closing in 2007, the coaster was dismantled and shipped to a French amusement park where it continues to operate today. This relocation represents a rare instance of a major ride finding a second life in a completely different country after its original closure.
