Punderson State Park

Punderson State Park spans 741 acres of land and 150 acres of water, featuring an English Tudor manor house, family cottages, and a championship golf course.

The land was initially settled by Lemuel Punderson in 1808, who constructed a dam and grist mill near the kettle lake formed by glacial retreat 12,000 years ago.

The English Tudor manor house, completed in 1948, represents the architectural heritage of early 20th century Ohio recreational destinations and summer retreats.

The park provides facilities for winter sports such as sledding and cross-country skiing, while offering boat rentals and camping sites during warmer months.

Punderson Lake stands as the largest and deepest kettle lake in Ohio, supporting diverse wildlife including beavers, great blue herons, and white-tailed deer.
