The Voyage, Wooden roller coaster at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana, US.
The Voyage is a wooden roller coaster at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. The track runs through five underground tunnels and reaches speeds up to 67 miles per hour (108 km/h) over a length of about 6,440 feet (1,960 m).
The roller coaster was built and opened by the Gravity Group in 2006. It came during an expansion phase when the park grew from a smaller theme park into a larger facility.
The ride's design pays tribute to the 1620 journey of Pilgrims to North America, with its station building resembling a seventeenth-century sailing vessel.
Two blue trains with 24 seats each run on the track and come with individual safety restraints and computerized brake systems. The ride lasts about three minutes and passes through wooded terrain multiple times.
This wooden roller coaster holds the record for the longest airtime among all wooden roller coasters worldwide with about 24 seconds of weightlessness during the ride. The construction team had to clear part of the adjacent forest specifically for the build and replant it later.
