St. Mary – St. Catherine of Siena Parish

St. Mary - St. Catherine of Siena is a Gothic Revival parish church located in Charlestown with a distinctive interior. The space features a hand-crafted hammer-beam oak ceiling decorated with carved angels and stained glass windows produced by Franz Mayer & Company.

The parish formed in 2006 when two earlier congregations merged, with roots reaching back to 1828. This combination brought together two separate faith communities under one roof.

The church building holds multiple services throughout the week, providing religious ceremonies in English, Italian, and Spanish for the local community.

The church sits on Warren Street and is easily reached on foot. Multiple services run throughout the week in different languages, offering flexibility for when you visit.

Four stained glass windows from the original St. Catherine's building were relocated to the Seaport Shrine. These windows carry forward the history of the former church in a new location.
