1001 Woodward, Commercial skyscraper in Downtown Detroit, United States
The structure rises 25 floors with a facade of tinted windows framed by charcoal-gray granite, creating a geometric pattern across the exterior.
Built in 1965 as First Federal Building, this International Style structure replaced the former 14-story Majestic Building demolished in 1962.
The building earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013 for its representation of 1960s architectural development in Detroit.
The 290,000-square-foot building provides office spaces, ground-floor retail areas, and direct access to an adjacent parking facility.
Two rectangular towers form an L-shaped configuration that opens to a plaza, establishing a distinct architectural presence near Campus Martius Park.
