Conneaut Lake Park, Amusement park in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania
Conneaut Lake Park is an amusement park on the shore of Pennsylvania's largest natural glacier lake. The grounds hold roller coasters, water rides, and carousels spread across a waterfront site.
The site opened in 1892 as Exposition Park, showcasing agriculture and industry. Over the following decades it shifted into an entertainment venue with rides and amusements.
The ballroom here served for decades as a gathering spot for dances and musical evenings. Regional families still come together on summer weekends for concerts and social nights.
The park opens from May through September and offers free parking at the entrance. Admission and rides are bundled in a single fee, which simplifies planning for families.
The old hotel on the grounds suffered a fire in 1943 in which a bride named Elizabeth died. Since then, visitors occasionally report unusual sightings near the remains.
