Cruceta del Vigía

The Cruceta del Vigía stands 100 feet tall with a 70-foot horizontal bridge, offering views of Ponce and the Caribbean Sea from its observation deck.

In 1801, settlers constructed a wooden cross at this location to monitor approaching merchant ships and alert authorities about potential maritime threats.

The structure maintains its role as a municipal landmark under the care of Patronato de Ponce, contributing to the preservation of local heritage.

Visitors can access the observation deck through glass elevators or stairs, with the tourist center at the base providing information about the region.

The reinforced concrete structure contains ten floors and features a Japanese Garden nearby with lakes, rivers, and bonsai trees spanning 2,223 square meters.
