Iglesia de San Pedro

Iglesia de San Pedro is a minor basilica in Los Chaguaramos with a Greek cross floor plan, a central dome, and marble-clad brick walls reinforced with concrete. The first stone was blessed by Caracas' archbishop in 1953 during Pope Pius XII's papacy, with completion coming six years later. The building was created as an architectural project that brought European basilica traditions to Venezuela.
