Catedral Nuestra Señora del Valle

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Valley stands with three naves and three entrance doors in the central district of El Tigre between Bolivar and Girardot streets.

The first religious service at this location occurred in August 1936, leading to the construction of a mud-walled church in 1940, replaced by the current structure in 1953.

The cathedral functions as the primary religious center for El Tigre residents, hosting regular masses, community gatherings, and annual celebrations dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The cathedral maintains regular visiting hours throughout the week, with main services scheduled on Sundays and religious holidays, accessible from the city center.

The building earned cathedral status in 2018 when El Tigre established its diocese, marking a significant elevation from its previous parish church designation.
