National Library of Tajikistan

The National Library of Tajikistan spans 167 meters in length and rises 52 meters high, featuring 15 reading halls across nine floors.

Founded in January 1934 as a state library named after Ferdowsi, the institution received its current designation with the opening of new facilities in 2012.

The library maintains six million items, including works by Tajik authors and a collection of literature that documents the national literary development.

Citizens of Tajikistan can access the library services for free by presenting their passport at 5 Tehron Street in central Dushanbe.

The National Library operates the Tajikistan National Electric Library, providing digital resources exclusively to users within the country.
