Access requires permits from Yushan National Park authorities and advance planning of your route before heading out. The main trails connect through the Walami and Batongguan routes, which should be carefully researched beforehand.
The peak serves as a natural boundary between Zhuoxi Township of Hualien County and Haiduan Township of Taitung County. This geographic position makes it a notable reference point for the entire region.
