Bethel High School, high school in Virginia, United States
Bethel High School is a public high school in Hampton, Virginia, serving students in grades 9 through 12. The campus includes classrooms, a gymnasium, a library, and shared teaching spaces organized around four main instructional blocks each day.
The school opened in 1968 to serve students from nearby towns and the Langley Field area. A library was added the following year and became part of the city library system, open to both students and the local community.
The school takes its name from the Bethel area and the nearby Civil War Battle of Big Bethel. Inside the building, display cases honor former students who went on to professional sports careers.
The school is in Hampton and easy to reach by car, with parking available on site. First-time visitors should head to the main office on arrival, as it handles questions and helps with directions around the campus.
The school is home to what is considered the first high school car racing team in the country, created in partnership with local racing groups. The program gives students hands-on experience in motorsport and has helped many of them stay in school and finish their studies.
